Jeff Lightfoot has been a partner at Maitland & Company since 1994 and has practiced securities law in Vancouver for more than 20 years. He holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University (Waterloo, Ontario) and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School (Toronto, Ontario).

His preferred areas of practice are corporate finance and securities law, with a particular emphasis on the TSX Venture Exchange

Jeff is an active participant in MSI, has attended international conferences in Milan, Sydney, and San Francisco. He maintains contact with professionals world-wide both through his own activities and MSI. Jeff was the representative for Maitland & Company at the Vancouver Stock Exchange tour in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Sao Paulo, Brazil in April 1997.

The majority of his practice focuses on securities issues with at least 80 percent involving an international element primarily in mineral resource exploration and development outside of Canada. He draws on considerable experience in initial public offerings, reverse takeovers and interlistings with an entrepreneurial and business oriented approach to public financing transactions.
