What Is Elder Law?
While many people equate Elder Law with estate planning, this is only one component of elder law. Elder Law is much more comprehensive. It is the process of identifying and implementing steps to achieve personal and family objectives for the management and enjoyment of property later in life, as well as for the succession of ownership and control of that property thereafter. It also addresses the issue of elder care during times of declining health.
